Life on a Greek Island (or two), by Jennifer Barclay. Books: Falling in Honey & An Octopus in my Ouzo. 'Jennifer dives into the very real life of the island... savouring every experience' - John Mole
What a nice spring day on a Greek island. Here in northern Vermont there is still snow on the ground and people go out bundled up against the cold.
Glad you like the photos. It's been a beautiful weekend here. I lived in Toronto for years and I remember snow staying on the ground for a long time. I love snow but the winters go on too long there for my liking!
Hi JenniferHappy times for Lisa on the Eristos beach.Collected your book today from the post office, looking forward to a long preamble to this summer's Tilos stayEnvious of the green spring feeling you're already enjoying. The Swedish winter is still holding the whole country in its unforgiving grip.BTW: Have a good "North European" Easter, you'll get two of them!Best wishes and all the bestSusann
Thank you! Yes, I thought some people might like to be reminded that the sun still exists and is shining somewhere in the world!!Hope you enjoy a little bit of Tilos in Falling in Honey...Happy 25th March, the day of Revolution here - and happy Easter for later this week!
Sus is the fourth Swedish person I have heard of who bought the book. And I bet there are more! Nice to see that it is spread not only in the UK:-)Lovely spring photos!
Hello Jennifer,I've enjoyed very much reading your new book. It made me remember all the places and the atmosphere I found in Tilos last year. In May I visited Tilos for the second time after 22 years and obviously many things have changed since 1990 but it's still the charming little island that I love so much too, especially when you go walking on the tiny paths away from the villages.I travel to the Greek islands twice every year and spend my entire holidays of 6 weeks there still searching for the perfect place to live one day. Tilos comes close to it. But I'm really not sure if I can let my dream come true as you did...Thank you for a wonderful read and have a great summer in Tilos.BarbaraDüsseldorf, Germany
Hi Barbara,Thank you so much for your beautiful message and for reading the book. I'm glad it was a good reminder of the charms of Tilos. I'm sure when you are ready to make your dream come true, you will! For me, the time for me was right. Summer is certainly on its way. I hope you discover some wonderful places in Greece this year!Best wishes,Jennifer
