My life on a Greek Island by Jennifer Barclay - writer and editor living on Tilos in the Dodecanese. Often out walking or swimming with my dog, Lisa. Travels to other islands in the Aegean.
Walking to the shops
Bought olive oil from the man at Eristos Beach Hotel, who was just putting it into bottles and gave me some Easter biscuits. Bought spring greens and carrots and courgettes and incredibly juicy oranges from the man at Tropicana. And walked home with a big smile on my face. Then Grandfather arrived with a jar of honey made next door and a bag of eggs from his chickens. And when I said I'd been buying vegetables, he pulled up some fat bulbous spring onions from the garden for me. That's it for me - kitchen well stocked!
